Dr. Jeff Fleig

Dr. Jeffrey Fleig is a seasoned educator with more than 31 years of experience in the field, including roles as an assistant principal, principal, and superintendent. He earned his undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, a master's in K-12 leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Throughout his career, Dr. Fleig has developed a leadership philosophy centered on transformation. He has always taken a bold stance on educating students, believing that educators have both a moral and legal obligation to ensure the psychological, emotional, and physical safety of each and every child. This commitment is accompanied by an unwavering dedication to enhancing student outcomes and a proven track record of building resilient school districts. At a time when many schools were struggling to recover from pandemic-related academic setbacks, Dr. Fleig led Wisconsin’s Fond du Lac school district in an impressive academic recovery where the district not only returned to pre-pandemic levels in math, but actually exceeded them, and in reading, the district showed more growth than any other district in the state.
Recognized as a turnaround leader, Dr. Fleig excels at swiftly diagnosing problems, making tough decisions, and driving bold change even when faced with resistance. Dr. Fleig has guided teams from maintaining the status quo to embracing transformative change. Dr. Fleig lives in Powell, Ohio, with his wife and is the proud father of a son who is a student athlete at The Ohio State University.
