Lisa Flanary

Lisa is a seasoned executive and strategic consultant with broad leadership experience in life insurance companies, large and small, fraternal, mutual, and publicly traded. She most recently led the growth strategy at Thrivent. She oversaw marketing (including customer experience, innovation, and brand), data and digital engagement, corporate strategy, research and business insights, advice development, and the transformation management office. In 2014, she was appointed CEO and president of the Degree of Honor Protective Association, a fraternal benefit society in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was responsible for executing the merger of Degree of Honor into Catholic Financial Life in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and mathematics. She received her MBA from the University of Illinois–Chicago. Lisa lives in the Twin Cities metro area. Lisa has two children: Grady, 28, who lives and works in Chicago, and her daughter, Keara, will graduate from the University of Minnesota in May.
